Laufende Aktivitäten

In Marokko setzen wir uns für eine bessere Inklusion von Menschen mit Behinderung in die Gesellschaft ein. In den Regionen Casablanca, Tanger-Tétouan, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra und Souss-Massa leiten wir mehrere Projekte zu Verbesserung der Bildungsmöglichkeiten für Kinder mit Behinderung. Wir kooperieren dazu mit lokalen Einrichtungen und Behörden. Unsere Projekte wurden 2017 gestartet, mit dem Ziel mehr Frauen an der Wirtschaft vor Ort zu beteiligen.

Damit Menschen mit Behinderung besser in medizinischen Einrichtungen und die Verwaltung aufgenommen werden können, starteten wir ein Pilotprojekt in fünf speziellen Einrichtungen. Außerdem unterstützen wir das marokkanische Gesundheitsministerium bei der Einführung internationaler Normen für Ausbildungen im Bereich Physiotherapie.

Darüber hinaus unterstützen wir Marokkos Gemeinden dabei, Menschen mit Behinderung ein Wahl- und Mitspracherecht in legislativen Fragen zu ermöglichen.

Hintergrund

In Marokko hält nach und nach die Demokratie Einzug und die lokalen Organisationen wollen Menschen mit Behinderung Gehör verschaffen.

Während des Arabischen Frühlings im Jahr 2011 stand die konstitutionelle Monarchie der Bewegung 20. Februar gegenüber. Dieser Bewegung gelang eine Reformänderung, die nun für die Inklusion von Menschen mit Behinderung steht.

Trotzdem sind die Gesetze zur sozialen Eingliederung aufgrund von schlechter Finanzierung noch sehr skizzenhaft. Menschen mit Behinderung haben kaum Zugang zu alltäglichen Hilfestellungen, wie zum Beispiel der Bereitstellung von Betreuungspersonal oder Barrierefreiheit in Häusern. Ihre Teilhabe am gesellschaftlichen Leben ist noch sehr beschränkt.

Doch die Organisationen von Menschen mit Behinderung setzen alles daran, das schnell zu ändern und Menschen mit Behinderung bald völliges Mitspracherecht bei der Gestaltung der politischen und gesellschaftlichen Reform Marokkos zu ermöglichen.
